Apple’s October 15 U.S. update lists a preparation deadline for shoppers preparing an iPhone Duo preorder: save your selections before 9 p.m. Pacific on Thursday, October 15. Orders open eight hours later, at 5 a.m. Pacific on Friday, October 16.
What to save before the cutoff
Apple’s Get Ready process lets shoppers choose their device and accessories, arrange a trade-in and seek leasing or financing preapproval where applicable. Save those choices in the shopping bag ahead of the cutoff, then return when preorders open to complete checkout.
A saved bag still requires an order. Apple’s announcement does not promise reserved stock or a particular delivery date for those preparations.
UK and Hong Kong cutoffs
The UK notice gives a cutoff of 5 a.m. BST on October 16; the Hong Kong notice says noon HKT that day. Both match the U.S. deadline at 04:00 UTC. Preorders open at 1 p.m. BST and 8 p.m. HKT respectively.
No mainland China Get Ready cutoff has been verified. Check the Apple Store for your purchase region. Our October 12 preparation guide covers the earlier setup details.
