ForeFlight has assigned the iPhone Duo a “Limited Support” status in an advisory listed October 14, 2026. The company expects the app to run at launch, with foldable-display optimization planned for early 2027.
The notice says ForeFlight may leave part of the unfolded screen unused and could behave unexpectedly. The developer advises against relying on the Duo as the main in-flight device before full support arrives.
A separate check for buyers
ForeFlight’s September 30 all-clear covers iOS/iPadOS 26.7.1 and 27.0.1. Its update index lists the Duo notice separately. An operating-system compatibility announcement should therefore be read alongside the device-specific advisory when comparing support.
For buyers choosing a phone around ForeFlight, the useful question is how well the current app fits the intended setup. Buyers counting on the unfolded display should evaluate the app’s current support rather than the planned update.
Early 2027 is a planned window, with no exact release date in the notice. Anyone waiting specifically for the foldable layout can watch the live advisory for a change in support status before revisiting that buying decision.
